So I am looking at some snakes and I was wondering if you possibly “see” the het VPI in boas? I know that you are not supposed to see het “something” but I am just asking for help if anyone has experienced this.

So is that a yes? If so can you explain that process of seeing it?
The light caramel colors. it’s significantly lighter than other boas. other than this you would just have to know the genetics of the parents. VPIT+'s are even lighter with rust colored saddles and the eyes are as albino. Hope this helps Thanks

Really good vpis have “puzzle piece” patterns. It’s not reliable enough to be able to pick pos hets out of the pile but it definitely sets vpis apart from other recessive morphs for sure than don’t look any different in het form.

I have bred these boas for years and you can totally see the difference between a Visual and a Het. I will try to upload some pics of a half visual and half het litter.
