2025 Haus full of Noodles

Always glad to hear when someone admires the wild type! Morphs are cool and all, but these are truly some beautiful snakes even without all the flashy special colors. I’ve been considering pursuing either a general wild type or locality project because of it.

Miami Phase, Okeetee Phase, and Keys are all near the top of my favorite corn looks list. When I got back in the hobby, I got an Okeetee first, even though I knew I wouldn’t breed her.

You’ve been busy, Jess! They’re all looking good. I think my fave is …Licorice? The Anery Motley, whichever name goes with that baby . Worth so much frosting now, I’ll bet it’s going to turn into a nice hurricane!

Classic corns are gorgeous. (Reminds me that I need to update pics on Flair, my 2yo Classic from Dazzler & Galahad.) My 7yo granddaughter chose a classic for her “very own first snake.” He is a handsome little dude. (Don’t worry, that is my pic.)

She named him Checkers because…

In a recent shipment a couple months ago, I purchased one specific snake for a lavender project, but the seller sent me two extra surprise free snakes in the same box. Of the two freebies, one was a classic (with a ton of hets I was looking for).

My husband (not a snake guy) saw the classic and said, “Why don’t we have more snakes like this one? She is by far the prettiest of all the snakes you’ve bought!”

I have to agree that, even though breeding for specific genetic combos appeals to the creator in me, those wild types DO have something special about them!

That is indeed Licorice! Hurricane is pretty deep in his lineage, so I fully expect him to fade into a magnificent one.

Pudding and Cheesecake finally shed, so it’s updated photo time. Cheesecake (snow) is now a whopping 6g after his shed.

They look great. Pudding has nice regular markings. Absolutely love the way you captured the light in Cheesecake’s pretty pink eye! :heartpulse:

Feeding update! I moved 7/10 of Sylvie’s up to large pinkies because I ran out of smalls, so we’ll see how that goes. Cheesecake, who refused last feeding because he was still digesting and in blue, DID take a mouse today! Seems the little dude is content to keep eating. I finally got annoyed enough with Madeleine (and she lost enough weight) that she was force fed a small pinky. We’ll see how she handles things next week.

Had a few more babies shed, I’ll have to get some updated photos soon. Unfortunately yesterday my dog was diagnosed with terminal cancer, so I’m not sure when I’ll actually get anything done. Trying to spend as much time with him as I can.

So sorry to hear it, Jess. Hope you guys make the most of his remaining time. :yellow_heart:

Sorry Jess. I lost 3 fur babies to the C word and it’s awful :disappointed:

Well, I made a massive mistake while trying to clean enclosures with a cold, and unfortunately due to this, BonBon passed away. I’m so mad at myself, it shouldn’t have happened. I think next spring I’m likely going to downsize quite a bit, as my health has unfortunately gotten worse and I’m having trouble keeping up with the numbers I have now. At least in better news, Madeleine voluntarily took a drop fed pinky this evening.

Oh Jess. What a tragedy. I’m so sorry. I’m sure you’ll find a good balance that works for you and your health.

Thank you guys for your kindness, I really appreciate it. Thankfully there have been no issues since, and that clutch is getting ready to shed again. I will definitely have to get updated photos soon. As for my dog who I’d mentioned previously, turns out his diagnosis may have been wrong, so he’s on new medication, new food, and actually doing really well!

I’m hoping to either purchase or make a light box soon so I can get better photos now that it’s really too cold to take any outdoors. Everyone is getting so big and bright!
