Identification

Hey all,
I’m not knowledgeable at all with Leopard Gecko genetics. I got this one for free- friend that worked at PetSmart was adopting it out because of the Regen tail. Just curious what it is.
Thanks

Cute. It’s cute :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

But @erie-herps or @mblaney would be best to help :orange_heart:

It looks like a super hypo baldy. It also looks like it might be going into shed so it’s colors might not be accurate in the picture.

Because it has literally zero pattern and came from a big chain pet store, it’s probably a Patternless or Blizzard. Geckos that are selectively bred to be completely without pattern are higher-end and aren’t usually produced by mass-market breeders. There’s no way to know for sure, @erie-herps could also be correct. Because it came from a big box pet store, I recommend against breeding because you don’t have any real idea if it’s genetic makeup, only its phenotypic description. He’s super cute though- looks like my girl Lemmy.

Could have some murphy’s patternless or like mblaney said blizzard genes. There’s really no way of truly knowing except by test breeding, but that not really a great idea. There’s no doubt its a baldy, but in truth it could have many different genes and there’s no set way to know for sure.
