I have a hatchling like that, he attacks the side of the tub before I can get the food in.
Seriously though, I work with people with Prader-Willi syndrome and other conditions that have similar eating effects, maybe similar conditions can exist in any animal.
It’s furry, it’s warm, and there’s a rodent smell in the air. I can understand the confusion!
