Accidentally threw a wrench in my 2023 season 😬

Pineapple had a beautiful shed today and she’s looking great. Keeping an eye out now to see if it was a pre-lay, she does look quite full in the midsection. Still waiting on Azula to shed, and Sienna looks like she might just be starting to go into blue.

Fingers crossed for :pineapple: x :chipmunk: babies. My phone plugged in the emojis. Sorry, I’m in one of those moods so I’m leaving them in.

Well, about that…Here’s a photo of what they’re up to at the moment. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

She was looking & acting 100%, and both were losing their minds surfing their enclosures, so back together they went. This wasn’t even 5 minutes after I put him back.

Tonight was definitely the night. I did switch up one of my pairings because Azula wasn’t really interested in Chipmunk. Since he was with Pineapple, I put her with my other (likely) Ghost male, Cuddles. Two pairs, two locks. As for Sienna and Danger, very much hoping he got the job done as Sienna is very rotund. The countdown to eggs begins!

Nice! Congratulations on the locks! (Mine haven’t done any of that yet. ) I hope they’re gonna keep on your time table before your trip!

I truly hope they will, but if not, my dad has assured me he can do this. There will be emergency numbers, YouTube tutorials, whatever it takes to get through this season and my trip safely. I was so happy for the locks I got, so many potential beauties are coming!

I hope your stubborn last season baby starts eating, and your pairs start locking sooner rather than later! I am so hopeful for everyone this season, even myself.

This better be Sienna’s pre-lay shed, because she is…Gigantic.

She looks thick! (And has that slightly angular shape that gravid corns get.)

She’s over 100g heavier than she was when she laid last year, got that peaked spine & scale spread for sure. With her first clutch I couldn’t really tell if she was gravid, this year I have absolutely no doubt. Now to hope Mr. Danger did his job, trying to prove out the 66% pos het Scaleless. :crossed_fingers:

Looking like a lady in waiting for eggs. And not one who’s going to be waiting too long! Fingers crossed that all goes well!

As long as she sheds in the next few days, she’ll lay while I’m still here. I’d welcome the heck out of that so I can get the incubator set up and if I can’t find a place for my girls, my dad will be able to figure things out with an example to reference. I’ve got the lay box in, now it’s just a matter of time.

WE HAVE A SHED! The countdown to eggs has hopefully begun.

Had my first food refusal today, despite sizing down feeders to accommodate what stock I had. Surprisingly not from Sienna, but Pineapple! I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised, she’s a smaller girl and already quite angular.

Ms. Pineapple looking shapely.

It’s almost a race to see who is going to lay first.

I’d love it if they lay in the next two weeks, it’d take a ton of stress off both myself and my dad, since he really isn’t the biggest fan of handling snakes.

They’re looking thick!

And the pictures don’t even really do them justice. I’m amazed Sienna is still eating, though she did digest & poop super fast. Pineapple is still refusing all offerings and just looks uncomfortable as heck.

Looking very, very promising! They look like they’re doing their best to accommodate your schedule.

That got me

“I’ve penciled my lay date in for March 28th, does that work for you? :face_with_monocle:” -Sienna, probably
