Its been a week since banana layed her last egg and shes doing great coming out most nights ,shes shed and taken a medium mouse
Shes down to 410g from 610 on the 1st of may but after laying 34 eggs thats to be expected
So happy my girls ok

3 of the eggs where abit dented and this morning and still have the 2 with bit of mold so i added abit more water to the tub with those in
humidity is consistently 98/99% cant actually get it lower so im hoping thats ok

The ones which look a bit irregular may be fine. I can’t be certain why they look as they do, but if you want, you can always put some moist sphagnum on top of those for a couple of days. Do they show vein development?

Yes all still show veins
Il have to go get more moss as iv run out my male corn and 2 of my hognoses have just gone into shed so iv used up my last bit

The dented eggs have plumped back and and its just the 1 egg thats gettimg worse qith mold but still has good veins
Is there anything i can put on it
Iv been wipping it with kitchen roll every couple days
Right is from 2/3 days ago left is today of the 3 eggs
And the single egg is the only real dodgy looking one

I try to mostly wipe off a molding egg with a dry q-tip. I’ve heard of people wiping them with a mouthwash soaked q-tip, and I’ve done that too. I’ve heard of people doing a light application of anti-fungal foot powder, but I have no experience with that.

Even the egg with a bit of mold doesn’t look too bad. I’d use dry cotton swab like Dean, or even a clean, dry white cloth. I would also try keeping that one out of the substrate for a time. You could put it on a bottle cap or something like that.
Fwiw I did try the antifungal foot powder on mold many years ago. It didn’t work, but that may have only been my clutch. I have heard that it can work. If you use it, be careful not to overdo it since it can actually clog the pores in the eggshell.

I didn’t have luck with the antifungal foot powder either, but have heard some have. Good idea with the Q-tip.

Bananas eggs are almost 5 weeks along and Banana has just shed again she doesn’t look overly big still only at 438g
From the top she dont look gravid but when I held her up around 2/3rd down her belly bulges slightly
I tried getting a picture with my daughters help but there not great
Could this mean shes going to double clutch?

I don’t think she’s gravid again. I’d just leave a lay box in there anyway.

I always give them a nest box in case they are going to lay again. Seems like they double much more often than they don’t, much to my annoyance. Second clutches are normally smaller than the first clutch, and sometimes the females don’t really show much more than a few bumps before a double.

Same. I always leave the nest box in just in case. You can usually tell when the double is coming because they go through a pre-lay shed just like the first time.
