Betadine is an antiseptic, not an antibiotic, you can’t “overuse” it.

This is not entirely correct. There is a reason you are supposed to dilute it it - undiluted, it can cause chemical burns. Likewise, excessive use of even diluted solutions can cause chemical burns.
That said, a single small application every day or two is not likely to cause issues

I meant more along the lines of, if used properly, it will not cause the type of resistance with overuse like an antibiotic would.
