Blood in urine?

Your vet sounds stellar, covering all the usual bases and using knowledge of local outbreaks of illness to be thorough. I truly hope it’s not whatever is going around, that sounds pretty gnarly. Treating for parasites even without known exposure is a good starting point. With luck the meds you’ve already got will head off any issue. Here’s to hoping the bloodwork is normal and there’s no organ dysfunction.

She is awesome. The only thing i could want for is for them to accept care credit. Or any kind of credit for that matter. These bills are higher than snoop dog on April 20th.:tired_face: Up front payment looks like im about to buy another snake.:joy:

Lol, but fr. I’m really fortunate to have access to both a quality primary clinic, and a massive hospital that works exclusively with exotics, no more than 15 miles away from my home. I know there’s a lot of people out there who don’t have that at all and they and their collections suffer for it. So I’m really grateful.

I’m not sure, i mean if the blood tests come back negative for any infection, and there’s no organ duress, then what does that mean the blood means? The way i see it, lack of test evidence confirming an issue does not equate to lack of an issue. Simply means there’s more to test.

I’ve been there with the payments, my own vet got about 2k this year. I have a similar situation with a good facility quite close.

I guess it’s both good and bad. I’m sure that even if the tests come back clean, your vet will keep looking into it to find a problem, if one exists. It could always have been something benign, perhaps some calculi or an abrasion. Idk, I guess I’m trying to be overly positive. I had a hognose this year that I lost to renal adenocarcinoma (kidney cancer) so your post hits a bit close to home and I’m hoping it’s nothing like that.

So they called me back and said it might be an infection and to continue treatment initially prescribed. I just finished the last dose yesterday so well see what happens in the next week! Hopefully next time he urinates for me it’ll just be yellow. Thanks to you all for the support!

Hopefully it’s just that and everything is all cleared up now, here’s to hoping for normal urine!

I feel like saying ‘I hope you get great urine!’ would be weird in the majority of conversations, but it applies here. Hope the yellow is mellow!
