Breeding females back to back

I have a female Mojave het pied who laid back in May. She is already back up to 1900 grams. Would you breed her again or wait?

If she just laid in may she won’t lay again until at least may next year. They don’t duel clutch like colubreds

If she has good body condition and general health, then she is probably safe to pair again. However, just be prepared that her own internal “condition” may decide she needs more time so she might not take.

If you watch billy from mutation creation, or Gavin from balls 2 u they give great info on breeding your females. 6-7 months from lay date is usually the rule of thumb. And she will tell you she is ready and building by her body language.
