Great big huge congratulations!! Those eggs are huge! I’m used to corn snakes’ eggs, which are nothing like that size. How big are the babies when they hatch?

I’ll be keeping up with this thread for certain.

They REALLY love these in my experience.

I have also found they occasionally enjoy just laying under a good sized cork flat. They will swirl a clear spot under it and just camp out for days

Yay! I’m so excited! Those are big babies! Considering the adults aren’t super large snakes, I would have assumed the babies would be like 10 grams at hatching.

Yeah, the largest baby sand boa we’ve ever had was 14g, and most are 10g or less.

So do you think 3 is an average clutch size for them? Maybe they have smaller clutches than other species because they have bigger, more robust babies?

Yes, they have 1-4 eggs, usually 2-3, which are huge and hatch into huge babies.
