Excellent news! Three for the price on one—and none related to your little male? Nice!
Just wanted to share some sad news as a reminder that breeding is not for the faint of heart. That female bamboo rat snake I bought, the adult - she passed away last week and necropsy showed no conclusive cause of death but the vet did find two nodules that indicate possible cancer. In addition, of the eggs she laid, one went bad during incubation and the other passed shortly after hatching. So unfortunately my experience with the bamboo rat snakes has not gone how I hoped it would so far.
Oh man, I’m so sorry that happened.
She was such a beautiful snake, it’s a shame her babies didn’t make it either.
Oh I am so sorry Kayla! That’s a triple whammy! They just weren’t meant to be. ![]()

. I know you are disheartened! Hopefully you will be able to replace your female? at some point in time. ![]()
I feel you!!! I lost two snakes I loved—one before I was able to breed him, and the other as a direct result of breeding her. It’s always so hard when you get so excited and wait so long, only to end in such disappointment.
Hugs from far away.
