Corn snake clutch Morph ID

Congratulations on your first clutch, Jacob! @deanaii knows what he’s talking about with masque, so definitely trust his advice. I’ll add my opinion as well that, yes, het palmetto really brightens things. Well, most things. As far as I can tell, it cancels out red factor and limits halo, but otherwise makes most normal colors very vibrant. It’s a very interesting gene!

I never heard the RF and Halo stuff. Interesting!

Paul wanted to breed pink and green spotted snakes and we’ve been paying close attention to listings and people’s experiences. It seems there’s a reason no one has produced them yet…those genes don’t play well with palmetto.

Congratulations on a beautiful clutch, @jacobhyde ! You’ve got some gorgeous adults. I’ve been a big fan of Caramel things since I started working with corns.

We’ll be able to say a bit more about your babies after they shed their baby egg skin. I will say that #10 is absolutely Caramel. #2 looks likely Caramel, but I can’t tell for sure. It’s brightened from the Masque and het Palmetto. On my screen there’s a hint of red, but that may be my screen. If after it sheds, you can see any red tones then it’s not Caramel.

I really like the blotchy Palmettos, btw. Very pretty babies!
