I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, every time I look at our ads on MM for Dart Frogs, they’re disorganized and there’s ads from other species in there as well that aren’t Dart Frogs. Overall, I think this is a category we really need to organize by species and then locale, (ex. Oophaga> pumilio >Nicaraguan Strawberry Blue Jeans/Bastimentos/Bisira, or Ranitomeya> fantastica> True Nominal/Varadero/Chazuta) and not describe the locales as morphs. We can organize this by species/locale much more accurately, in a way that’s simpler to navigate for both buyers and sellers, I feel, and it also gives the proper impression of how dart frog locales should be kept, rather than letting beginner dart frog keepers and enthusiasts see “morph” and and thinking that means interbreeding is possible as with reptiles like ball pythons and boas, and although it is, I intend to make my point about the impression this leaves as one invested in the “hobby”. (I absolutely hate to refer to keeping and breeding as a hobby, this is a science, and an art) If I get the opportunity to later on tonight, I’d like to attempt to present something similar to my example based on our current listings and how we could possibly reorganize them.
