Do you find that many snakes way over fed?

I saw in a Facebook group for milksnakes one guy was feeding his 4 year old honduran small rats weekly and wanted to upgrade to MEDIUMS. It was a big hondo around 6 ft, but jesus I am only just now upgrading my 4 year old 8ft dwarf retics to mediums. I can’t imagine ever needing to feed a snake like that medium rats.

Overfeeding snakes is a really common practice that the whole hobby needs to reevaluate. It’s just a long, slow death for these animals.

Honduran milks should never even need a rat tbh. Even a 6ft Honduran (the size was likely caused by the power feeding) should only need to be on jumbo mice at most. I can only imagine how fat that thing must have been.
