So as a bit of a personal project I have been attempting to track down morph combos that have enigma in it. I do not plan on breeding these, I more or less just want to see how many of those combos exist and have a picture of each one to know what they look like. I have managed to find at least 1 picture of the Lichen and a Vermillion, however out of all the combos listed on the morph list posted here on this forum I have not been able to locate an image of a Vortex, Abyss (not Abyssian), and Smaug. I was wondering if anyone here had any.
From what the list says:
An abyss is Mack Snow + NDBE + Enigma
Smaug is Tremper + NDBE + Enigma
And Vortex is Rainwater + Eclipse + Patternless + Enigma
It really bugs me how these seem to exist somewhere yet I cannot find at least 1 photo of one. Any help would be appreciated
NDBE is one of those genes that is still fairly uncommon in the leopard gecko market, so that will make it harder to find those particular photos.
I don’t know of anyone with them offhand, but they would look fairly similar to the combo without NDBE. The markings and patterns wouldn’t change very much… But the overall color and the look of the eyes would. NDBE has the particular ‘moon eye’ look and the colors will be richer. Blacks will be darker and oranges will be a bit more intense.
I haven’t worked with them personally to give much input otherwise… I try to keep up on some of the LG trends but haven’t been actively breeding for a few years now.
I figured morph combos with NDBE in it were hard to find (minus ones mixed with Tangerine which is mostly what I’ve been getting). I also suspect a lot of these combos are just not on the English side of the internet given most of the pics I have been able to find thusfar are from websites based in Europe. I’m grateful for any help though
Enigma is falling out of favor because of the associated Enigma syndrome. I almost never see them listed anymore (which is a good thing), at least in USA/Canadian markets.
I do own a Mack Snow + Enigma + Bell Albino + Eclipse, I believe that is a ‘Stealth.’ That’s the closest I have pictures of. His name is Icarus, but I call him Icky.
I totally understand being curious about appearances of combos without wanting to necessarily encourage their propagation per se. I have the same curiosity when it comes to interspecies hybridization.
