I did end up going the isopropyl preservation route for the passed hatchling today.
I know its more of an ”oddity” thing, but I do preserve small hatchlings that never made it out of the egg or failed to thrive. Thankfully the preserved collection is not large though, only 2 Kingsnakes and now the BP.
The others are still doing well today, tomorrow is the beginning of my vacation with my hubby so hopefully by the time we are back next Monday the other 3 will be out and healthy. I’ve still got my little camera set up monitoring them too.
Welp the rest of the clutch has finally begun to come around. Having a busy week so I’ll try to post clutch pictures at some point, though it may be late.
Looks like I may have one Paradox though which is exciting, I got a brief glimpse of patterning in the baby that was not consistent with the rest of it.
There’s just one more baby that hasn’t come around yet but I’m sure it will be really soon since one is out of the egg and the other came around early this morning.

I can’t wait for the other 2 to come out! I’ve got a really rich orange and purple Banana looking baby and the Paradox spot baby I mentioned earlier left to go!
Edit: here’s little Paradox spot, almost done absorbing their yolk! I suspect they’ll be out either late tonight or early tomorrow.
Oh my gosh, what a little cutie! It always surprises me to see how small they are when they hatch! The blushing on that little one is awesome, I can’t wait to see the others!

I have pupa developing into darkling beetles which will lay eggs creating more mealworms and so on and so forth! I’m so happy! It doesn’t take much for me!!! I have an unsuccessful trio of breeding leogex who gladly eat meal worms and dubias (unsuccessful with my breeder adult dubias though).

Ok, this is hands down the most vibrant Banana BP I’ve hatched out yet, and I can barely tell whats going on with the eyes because they are soooo dark.
I hate that my phone struggles to pick up deep oranges and red so much
The Banana baby is so gorgeous in person. The orange in person is so much more rich. It’s almost got a gradient to it that gets more intense at the bottom of the alienheads.
And the purple contrasts so well to it, which is also more vibrant in person.

Little miss Paradox spot did not fully absorb her yolk before leaving the egg so she’s quite tiny and light compared to her brother’s. I’ll be keeping a close eye on her but she’s otherwise lively.
Already seeing a distinct color difference between the 2 Lessers so I’m interested in seeing how they develop after a few sheds.
What a lovely little trio! Hopefully they all thrive and start to eat for you without any issues, I can’t wait to see how they look after a shed or two!
