I am so excited!
As a long-time genetics nerd, I’ve been following RGI for a bit now but I’ve never had a reason to send in a shed test until now.
I picked up an 800g+ Ultramel poss het pied female at a show a couple of months ago and I’ve been eagerly awaiting her next shed.
She finally did, so I bought the test and mailed it out this morning!
Of course I have my fingers crossed, but honestly I’m just geeking out about this either way.
While I await my results, please share what your first shed test was (with pics of the cuties if possible )!
These two were my first tests that went out.
I wanted to run hypo on both of them as they were a het to het pairing on the Orange Ghost line.

The second, just for kicks I added on a couple other tests as well during the 4 for 1 sale they had. I thought I had her ID correct as a hypo special mojave (pos enchi, pos fire, pos pastel) because she had yellow eyestripes her siblings didn’t… but she ended up testing as a super mojave (opps) and enchi. We’re waiting on fire and pastel tests now.
I have their half siblings sheds out and should hopefully get some results on that soon. Hypo and enchi tests on both and a pastel added on to one.
Eventually I have a group that needs to be tested for multiple things…pied and dg het on all of them… And then the rest is a tossup. They’ve got something funky cool going on and mojave, OD and calico are all tangled in the mess. I’m collecting sheds for the moment…and trying to decide when and what to finally do for testing later.
