Little update. Not after third shed, but there’s definitely an increase of the black dots in his head and the dark central stripe is somewhat contaminating the sides
Also he looks greyer in his flanks, less pink/orange

Should also note that a lot of the nicest pinks/oranges naturally fade with age in boas! IMG itself only causes progressive black flooding/melanism.
Oh yeah, as in ball pythons. The babies are generally the most colorful.
I’m intrigued, seems that putting him on an heavier meal accelerates the darkening. Probably because more resources are recluted for the production of pigment
