I am getting into leopard gecko breeding! I am breeding for tangerine with rainwater albino and have my incubator set up. Hopefully I will have some good quality hatchlings! I already have a few people lined up to buy so I am super excited. Would love to hear everyone’s tips and tricks!

Personally I never had luck with hovabator. I used a DIY aquarium one.

With leopard geckos a majority of the polygenic traits like tangerine will always fall into the ‘Quality in, quality out’ category. It can be a bit daunting.

Is it one pair that you are working with currently? If you do size up the breeding plans in the future, I liked to breed in groups that way the male couldn’t bully a single female. Usually would have 2 or 3 females to 1 male.

Keep an eye out for what looks like little white flecks on them. Those are usually bite marks and flaking skin. The female will always have a few, but if they get excessive you may need to separate them to avoid possible worse bites. If the male has a lot of them the female isn’t receptive and it’s just stress on both of them.

I have 1 male and 2 females. I did notice a couple of white specks on my male but they have not changed. They seem to be diminished……

If he hasn’t had a shed yet that could be why they’re still there.
As long as there’s enough hides to keep them separate if they want and they’re not getting worse it should be fine. Depending on the male or the female’s cycles sometimes I would leave them in a couple of hours or a couple of days. Just depended on how everyone was getting along

They are in a huge Christmas tree tub with a bunch of hides. I monitor them pretty much daily and they are all out several times a week to play in a tent like enclosure to play hide and seek in empty paper towel rolls and other things. They all eat well.
