I was worrying that was the case from the get-go, I just never had the experience to know for certain that was what happened or how to handle it. With how his jaw is slack and the odd tenseness of his neck it seemed like a brain issue and I knew enough that hognoses didn’t handle most chemicals at all. I think the big failure was me figuring with the amount of mites on him and research on nature’s miracle saying it was “ok for hognoses” that being thorough with cleaning him was alright. Age wise all posts said he was fine to deal with the chemicals but weight wise as a male I don’t think he should be. My next suspicion was his diet (reptilinks/pinkies) was lacking calcium but I’m certain his physical ailments are all because of the chemical.
However I’m optimistic. He has gone from not moving at all with a terrible squeak for a hiss to an alright hiss and managing to get around alright. His tail can wrap around my finger and has strength to it. I have cleaned and wiped down his tub for now (since before I was spraying it down with the miticide before adding the paper towels once dry) and made sure to do the same with his water dish, got him on paper towels again. I don’t have any worry that the mites will come back for him since I have not seen any on him after we started treatment. Tonight I’ll be going to pick up a tub just for him and keeping him in my office with my non-infected Leo, Mai Tai. (not too surprising but all my tubs are taken up right now and the hognose size ones are all missing their lids??? at least the non sandwich size ones, and i want him to have some kind of heat gradient lol)
My only worry is making sure he’ll be able to eat but he hasn’t shown interest in food so far. As someone who’s had a hognose go 5+ months without food at his size I’m not too worried but just want to be cautious about it. I might try scenting his next pinkie with a frog (how I got earlier picky eater to eat, as well as my eastern) just to see if that might wet his appetite. I intend to give him water only baths to make sure he’s getting some liquids in him since I’m certain it’s hard for him to get it himself with his neck like that. He is alert now and can move about in his tub slowly, I just want to ensure his quality of life is an alright one if he doesn’t get any much better. With every snake I have, pet or breeder, I intend to treat them as I would my dog/cat/child(shhh don’t tell my 7 yo) in that I will take care of them no matter what happens.
This entire thing makes me wish there was a go-to place on the MM or a wiki or just the net in general on how to handle a mite outbreak in such a wide variety of animals like my collection. Since I have nothing better to do with a week off this week, I might put together at least a draft. 
If I can help any other keeper avoid the problems I’ve had with Gary and Ely it’d be worth it (mostly the reason I’ve posted and updated this thread!).
I’m really frustrated since its ultimately my fault. He had the prettiest headstamp out of all my hognoses and i was hoping to see if he would father ones with similar headstamps.
