So i have a 5 year old male 73g (Mushu) and a 3 year old female 50g (Maleficent) and she is ovulating so i tried to pair them for breeding and she was interested but he wanted nothing to do with her. Can someone please tell me why? They have both been bred with other leopard geckos before so they are proven breeders. I just dont understand.

Sometimes they’re just not in the mood or like the other gecko. Otherwise she may just not be at a part of the cycle where the pheromones are interesting to him.

Should i keep trying with the same female? Our other one isn’t ovulating yet to try her with him yet. And she’s only 9 months old and 60g
