Interesting! That’s really good to know. When I first got my cresties it was a suggestion to help with handleability, so I’ve hand-fed my geckos once a week or so for as long as I’ve had them. I haven’t done it a lot with the babies, but definitely have touched their nose with food a couple of times. That’s a good other perspective to know, thank you!

@thedeepydragon Imo NAILED it. Too moist / not enough circulation / wet for too long will cause problems with gecko babies dying within the first month(first few weeks)! Also the baby’s will not have regular sheds and ALWAYS have problems with stuck shed on their entire bodies.
I would like to also add DO NOT EVER put coconut oil on your crested geckos, I don’t care what anybody says, ever. This will also kill them within days. If cold pressed coconut oil it will clog their pores and they will die from dehydration within days. I’m just putting this info out there in case it could potentially help people in the future.
