If you have seen Steel Magnolias that’s what Olympia Dukakis said to Shirley McClain (Wheezer) after Olympia told Sally Field to take a whack at Wheezer in the funeral scene.
Shirley McClain’s (Wheezer’s) feelings were hurt so Olympia Dukakis apologized to Shirley McClain with that phrase.
For some reason that phrase has stuck with me and when I say it no one knows what it means or where it comes from! Just something silly to say!

Oh, gotcha! I saw that when it was in theaters, back when Julia Roberts was more or less a fresh, unknown face. (Yes, I’m that old!) Sobbed like a baby! So did my husband, actually. Saw it again later but even that’s been years ago. Definitely did not remember the luggage line. But I will now!

Yeah I have seen that movie more times than I can count. It’s one of my all time favorites! I could probably quote verbatim most of the lines in most of the movie!

I haven’t gotten the tape measure to her, but once I saw her stretched out in the grass where she wasn’t cramped…I am beginning to wonder if 14’ really is realistic. She’s grown so much from 12’ though it seems like more than 2’ of difference.

I couldn’t even guess how long she is, as I’m terrible at guessing any sort of measurements, but I do know that she’s absolutely gorgeous. Love those pictures.

I would say she probably closer to 16 feet or so. I do have a few though, how did you measure her back when she was 12 feet? How long after measuring her did you take the picture?
Either way she is clearly very happy and healthy which is definitely the most important thing! Would you mind sharing her enclosure?

I measured her against a 12’ wall with a tape measure! She flattened out for me. She was maybe 2”-3” short of 12’ even when I measured her. I think that pic was the same day I measured her.
Sadly she is in a temporary 6’ cage atm, as I wasn’t expecting to get her back and didn’t want the guy to sell her to someone else and I lose her forever. She was in an 8’x3’ before he said, back and forth between that and a 6’ cage. She is a one in a million snake. Eventually she’ll go in a 12’ cage, but I’m buying and building it piece by piece.

That’s fine! I’m not experienced gauging giants either haha All I know is there’s no way she’s 18’ 
16’ I could believe, and even that’s smaller than anticipated once they’re out in a 4 acre yard.

She’s truly a beauty for sure, I’m biased on her being the best looking normal I’ve seen. I sat there and stared at her like 15 mins when I picked her up. Haha

I would say she is 16 feet as she is 3 time’s the size of you. And she looks nice and healthy to.

Thanks! One of these warm days I’ll get some twine to her and update you all here.
She was getting a 6-8 lb pig or rabbit every 3-4 weeks with her previous owner. I haven’t been feeding her as much with the cold weather, so she’s gotten an 8 lb rabbit every 2 months here so far. I’ll be giving her 2-3 1.5 lb rabbits a friend gave to me on the next warm day (should be this weekend). 1-2 months seems a good schedule for her on the 8 lbers. She could probably take 10 lbs no problem too, I don’t think I’ll go as small as 6 if I have a choice.
