Is there a way you can get a good look at the belly? Or even better a couple of clear photos?
I went back to the other post you had made and see the info about the nasty cage this poor guy was in… hopefully it’s just a little dirt from the new substrate, but given the previous situation you can’t rule out an infection or sores.

I see the towel over the top of the tank. these sorts of setups are notorious for loosing humidity. I’ve covered part of the lid in these situations with acrylic sheet if I had any spare around, or a piece of cardboard covered in aluminum tape has also worked for me in the past.

If you are trying to add more humidity and keep the bedding a bit damp, it sounds counter intuitive, but you wanna dump a small cup of water in and fluff up the bedding to get it absorbed deeper into it. Using a mister might only be able to reach that top layer and evaporate quickly.

You can also tape large freezer bags on part of the screen to preserve humidity. Also putting a large water bowl on the hot side will amp up humidity as well.

Keep in mind the normal humidity should be 50 to 60 percent unless your BP is shedding. Too much is just as bad as not enough. Extra lighting will dry out the tank as well……

Edit to add: I use the freezer bag method on top of my boa’s tank and he just had a perfect shed
