How dare you wait for them to pip on their own!
You got lucky this time fella. The rest are unlikely to make it. Good luck, you’ll need it.
I cannot believe their audacity to wait until they’re fully developed to hatch. Now they’re going to grow up all strong-willed and only want to eat when they’re hungry and breed when they’re mature
I have a maternal incubation clutch on day 67. Do you think I could borrow your egg chainsaw?
And you didn’t even list the pairing…
What have you become? ಠ︵ಠ
Oh… Sorry…
Here you go
Pyriphlegethon x Fucanglong
@t_h_wyman Just for kicks and grins would you express in layman’s terms for people like me the morphs of the pairing responsible for these eggs? Just curious
Perfect now I can put the rusty spoon away
Pyriphlegethon (GStripe SuperRedStripe)
X
Fucanglong (BlkPastel/Enchi Butter OD poss Cypress)
I honestly looked up the “true”? names but neither equaled to this information that you gave me. So thank you for clarifying and good luck with the clutch.
I suppose “Nature” is going to take all of the credit for a successful hatching of eggs without intervention. The nerve.
I would congratulate you but apparently you did nothing!
Good grief, how could you? You’ve set the hobby back decades! All the way back to when ball pythons lived only in the wild, and had nobody to help them get out of their eggs… makes me want to cry, just thinking about all those little babies forced to force their own way out of their eggs. shudder…
I name all my holdback animals, always have. It makes it a lot easier for me to track lineage over time. Also works as a reminder that these are living creatures first and foremost and not ‘make-a-buck-cattle’ the way all too many people in the community view them
Yep! I agree Travis. I am not as creative as you in the name department but I do name all of mine as soon as I acquire them. I name mine after the breeder’s name or something connected with the breeder. Not as fancy but it works great for me.
Edit to add: I have most single gene? bps but I have one girl with several genes? that I cannot name without looking at her card. I just have her because she is a lovely animal, as all mine are imho. Yes they are animals first and foremost………
Me too. Some years, I name all of them, whether or not I plan on keeping them. Most of the time they get at least an unofficial moniker whether they’re staying or going. But then, I was the teacher who named the classroom plants. And the model skeleton. And a few of the preserved specimens.
Well at least you didn’t discriminate!
What is wrong with you, they could have suffocated!
And That’s not even a Ball Python!
