Hey I have a albino female and a banana male ball pythons how do think my clutch will turn out
Unless the male is het albino, you’ll only get normals and bananas that COULD be het albino - this is a pairing I would NOT recommend. Normals will be exceedingly hard to sell, as will single gene bananas, even with pos het albino in there. These are common morphs, single gene, and will likely not sell especially in this oversaturated market.
Additionally, if you are new enough to the hobby that albino being recessive and banana being co-dom/inc. dom are not info you already know, you should do some more research before even thinking about pairing
I agree with everything said with one small correction.
A visual albino female will pass het albino to every offspring. So you will have normal or banana het albinos.
Also keep in mind the need to know a vet in the area in case of emergencies like eggbinding or prolapse. And that you’re gonna be feeding and caging the offspring until they sell.
Hi and welcome to the community
I also agree with the all the above. I know it sounds a little negative but it can be.
Especialy with the market like it is.
Your odds are for half the hatchlings to look exactly like a normal.
It takes a long time to sell anything at the moment, Normal ball pythons are probably the hardest.
You might not be able to even sell all that many normals. Even with the het.
You should be prepared for that too.
Totally correct! I got that wrong saying pos.het in my statement - thank you for the correction!
