I’ve never once in my life worked with hypo, and I just got this big guy labeled as hypo and I was wondering. If he wasn’t LABELED as hypo I’d probably just call him a normal with really nice blushing, but I’m wondering. Apparently the pairing made other hypos too, so I’m not sure
My camera is definitely a bit more washed out and dark right now for whatever reason, all default setting, same issue in all light, thought I’d put that down too
There’s two easy options for you when they shed:
- check for markings on the shed. Hypo will have clear sheds and no markings
- send the skin out for shed testing with RGI for hypo
But sometimes dark combos can be hypo without looking as such. That wouldn’t be the case for this guy tho. This snake doesn’t look hypo from these photos. Most likely they are het.
