I need help ASAP

Hello brothers, my Ball Python has a retained shed. She’s being like that for more than 6 weeks and I live away from any big cities, which means there is no near Vet. I’ve done everything I can but no changes yet. The eyes are gray and she has not eat for 4 weeks. I’m so worry that she is not going to make it. PLEASE HELP ME!

Welcome, lets see if we can help you out!

Mind sharing a photo of your Ball Python? If we can at least see the condition of the snake we may be able to make a better judgement of whats going on.

After we see a photo of the snake you might want to add in detail what exactly you’ve done “I’ve done everything” is pretty vague considering the amount of care that goes into Ball Pythons.

What it sounds like is going on here is that your snake has a stuck shed? And is going back into shed? This does not mean your snake is dying- please don’t stress, lets get a picture of the snake first to gauge its health

Ball Pythons are pretty hardy snakes when it comes to eating. They can go months without a meal and be perfectly fine if they have a good body condition and health- again stuck sheds do not necessarily mean they are in poor health.

What temps are you keeping your Ball Python at? What is the humidity in the Ball Python’s enclosure? What is the Ball Pythons enclosure like?

I second everything said above.
At the moment it sounds like the snake has some stuck shed and is going back into shed. It’s less than ideal and definitely need to be fixed, but should not be life threatening if everything else is in order.

My bet is that the enclosure is a glass tank with a screened lid and overhead heating.

If in fact your ball python does have a retained shed, you need to find a pillow covering with a zippered closing and thoroughly wet it with warm water. Gently wring it out and put the snake in it , zip it up and put the pillow covering/case in a sterilite tub with the lid on. I put the tub on half of a heat mat on low for about 30 minutes.

This should help to loosen the old/new skin. Or at least it should help give it a start

that’s him right there. The eyes are the worse part and what actually worries me. Thank you for taking the time to answer.
Another question, he’s about a year and a half old, how big should he be?

That actually looks like it may be stuck eye caps, its the skin that protects the eye. He doesn’t look to be in terrible shape but a full photo of his whole body would be preferable

When they shed the caps shed too, and sometimes they can stay stuck on unfortunately… I’d follow @caron’s advice and let him stay like that for 15-20 minutes and then take him out and take a warm wet Q-tip and gently rub it over his eye, repeat 1-2 times a day until all the shed is off and the stuck eye caps are gone.

@samboy03 When you do the q tip just gently roll it over the eye and the cap should come off……
