Incubator search

We are looking to finally start our breeding journey with our beardies, however, after looking at many different incubators, we haven’t found one that sounds like a reliable or suitable option. We were wondering if anyone has any good recommendations or suggestions on a great & reliable incubator. We are just trying to prepare to start breeding, we haven’t started yet. It’s our first time starting this breeding journey. TIA🫶🏼

You might get a quicker response if you go to the CB side. It’s the red figure 8 at the top of the page. There are several beardie breeders there who would be glad to help you……

For a first time breeding, I would consider a cooler DIY incubator. I started off with that for 2 years before having an incubator custom made.

You take a regular cooler box/ice chest/igloo and wire some heat tape into it. I ran the plug through the water drainage so I didn’t have to drill holes in it or anything and stuffed some padding around the wire to keep the heat in.

You’ll still need a thermostat of course to keep the temps right. I used plastic shoeboxes to incubate my eggs in to keep humidity where it needed to be. You can stick the probe inside the box to make sure the eggs don’t overheat or chill.
