hey everyone. this is my first time posting so if I’m not doing it right, I apologize right off the bat. I was looking for some help in identifying the genes in one of our new hatchlings. this was our first go round with breeding snakes. The mother is a bongo pastel butter, and the father is a banana Mojave. hatchling turned out, absolutely beautiful, but we’re not exactly sure what jeans got mixed together. thanks for looking and helping me out. I appreciate the information. hopefully, you guys can see the photos
Mojave Bongo and Lesser Bongo can look a bit similar… but I think this one looks Lesser
Hello so it looks like the 4 pics you’ve posted are of the same snake. What he looks like to me is a Bongo Mojave. From looking at him I’d say he definitely has Bongo in him which is creating the broken stripe down his back, and I also see Mojave in the mix as well.
yeah he does almost look like a Lesser Bongo
Welcome to the forum! You have a beautiful snake. The colors are so pretty!
She may be a Bongo Cinnamon Lesser Ball python. But I recommend that the next time she/he sheds that you get her shed tested so you can be 100% sure on her morph or morphs. I’m not sure though so take my word. I’m not too good with morphs.
Cinnamon isn’t listed in the pairing at all.
Cinnamon also tends to change up the pattern quite a bit more when combined with lesser.
I’m not good with morphs so you’d know better than me lol.
thank you everyone for taking a look and giving me some feedback. I really appreciate it.
