Could be just one of them thangs. I had one baby who really wanted to be a water snake. Didn’t matter if he was in shed or not, and his temps were the same as the others’ on the shelf. Didn’t have skin issues. He just liked water.
Any new news?
yeah, sorry I just haven’t had as much free time lately so I haven’t been as frequent with updates. Bambam managed to have a very nice full shed but it still didn’t trigger that feeding response unfortunately. Despite this I can now start to visually see that bambam is getting bigger!
The good shed is a good sign, anyway. And this
is excellent!
Glad to hear BamBam is getting physically bigger! Don’t worry about updates too much when you’re busy, was curious. Hopefully she gets with the eating soon enough! Don’t give up, one of my holdouts from the first clutch of the season just started eating on his own after assist feeding, BamBam should get the hang of things sooner or later!
Ill be attempting another feeding tonight so hopefully today is the day she eats!
Unfortunately bambam did not eat again. I tried leaving the pinky head in the tub overnight but unfortunately she didnt eat it.
Has she grown enough to try a whole pinky yet? Most snakes prefer whole prey items, especially if left in a cage for a time.
Im not too sure yet. Shes been feeding on about 1/3 of a pinky which has been fine. Ill weigh her tomorrow and see what she’s at.
