Need Identification help

Found 4 little brown snakes and figured they were delays brown snakes but two of them look noticeably darker than the other two so I’m wondering if it’s two different species? I live on the east coast of North Carolina for reference, and thank you to anyone who help out🙂

Looks to be just normal colour variation between individuals.

I think you are spot on with DeKay’s Brown Snake, Storeria dekayi. Gorgeous little guys!

I am also in NC. Those are Dekays brown snakes. They do vary in color. Most around me are light. Here is an example of one I found in the driveway a year or so ago to show the color of most around my area. I usually find a few of them a year in my yard. They are always a nice find.
