Yes, this is what I try to do with my 3 snakes. I try to stagger their feelings so I always have at least one who isn’t digesting, so I always have someone I can play with.
Got it, sounds like the 25 count is the winner!
I hope my husband didn’t hear that!
@hb24 I think it’s best to order smaller quantities of rodents until whatever you are feeding gets to the size of rodent it will eat for the rest of its life.
Also opening and closing the bags can lead to freezer burns over time plus the quality of the rodent imho can deteriorate as well.
Corns are generally great eaters so that’s a plus. Your guys are gonna grow very quickly. Soon you won’t have to worry about size and ounce calculation…….
Agreeing with others, you won’t use a lot of peach fuzzies. They’re going to be growing so fast over the next year.
It’s like watching a sapling grow into a tree. In its first few years (like a hatchling’s first few months), it’s got a high rate of growth but because it’s small, that growth is harder to see. If the 6" sapling you plant in April does phenomenally well & gains 25% of its height every month, you’re still not going to be sitting under it in October. In fact, you may only notice if you’re really paying attention. After a while, it’s 6’ tall and gains are easy to see. Same principle goes for your youngsters.

I figured that must be the case. I’ve raised lots of babies, just never reptile babies. It’s fun to watch them grow and go through all the awkward stages. My favorite are the chickens. I think they have the most ‘awkward teen’ stage, and it always cracks me up when they’re that size.
I may have found a cheaper solution to my small order issue. I found Layne Labs last night and it appears they’re cheaper in smaller portions than other websites I’ve visited. I’m wondering if there’s a catch or it’s just a delightful find. Do you have any experience with them?
Layne Labs is a sponsor of Green Room Pythons. The 10% discount code is grp2024. If you haven’t checked out Green Room Pythons on YouTube, give it a go. Bob Bledsoe puts out easy to watch, quality content and his brother, Kent, keeps me in stitches.
If there is ever a reptile expo in your area you can usually buy frozen feeders at those events. It will save you shipping……
Thank you for the suggestions and the discount code! I’m a sucker for good reptile content on YouTube, so I’ll have to look into Green Room Pythons.
@caron, good idea. Hadn’t thought much about being able to buy supplies at expos. Googling expos in my area now!
The only problem with going to reptile expos is……….
Just sayin……

The only problem with going to reptile expos is……….
I genuinely cannot let myself go to an expo until I’m prepped to bring someone home, since I KNOW I don’t have the strength to not get attached to a little friend once I’m there
It’s been a few years since I’ve used them, but I found them to be very high quality.
I bought some from Layne Labs when I was in that niche where buying in bulk was good, but U didn’t need to buy in bulk, if you know what I mean. Lol. They’re great quality.
Thank you for all the advice, discount codes, opinions, and humor! Please allow me to introduce Vinny (because he’s a la-VIN-der - yes I am that corny)! Inspiration came one night as I was surfing for snakes and watching, you guessed it, My Cousin Vinny. I can’t wait to watch this little bag o’ doughnuts grow up!
Vinny is waaaaaay handsome and a great poser next to his perch! Congratulations to the both of you! You fit right in with @caryl and I in your corniness!

Just thought of this:
You can call him:
