This is Fraise, a gift from @emfraise Elijah! She is a pretty little 2024 Firefly that came with the group Elijah recently acquired from a breeder who was getting out of the business. She is a tad shy but she has already eaten for me.

. She’s a tad bit nervous but she will figure out that she’s safe here. After she eats a few more meals for me I will handle her some. I don’t think she was handled much before you and me.

Based on the behavior of the other kiddos, I’m inclined to come to the same conclusion. I’ve never had such hissy/snappy ball pythons before! Two of the have even tried eating my fingers! 
I’m sure with regular handling/work they’ll come around, but it’s gonna be a fun process in the meantime!

Oh my! I suppose they truly were just breeding animals, period. I realize that depending upon the number, some breeders just don’t have time to handle their animals except for the routine cleaning and feeding, which saddens me. Fortunately this girl is neither hissy nor snappy. Just jumpy. I don’t think I have ever had a hissy ball python before tbh! I hope yours settle down soon!

For sure, though this is mostly just the younger animals. The three that seem most hissy and ready to bite are the spider clown, the pastel clown, and the super OD pastel YB. Very vocal little ladies! And Meccha (the lesser batman) was the one that actually bit and wrapped me - she’s a voracious little cutie! The others are pretty sweet albeit definitely shy, and then Fleck is the model citizen.
