Ophiophagic snake species

All Drys have this issue except for yellowtails and the new blood black tails. They don’t handle inbreeding very well at all

As far as mussuranas go, they’re about as easy as it gets. But again, that gene pool is very shallow. Look into the other clelia species if you want something different.

The puffing snakes aren’t that uncommon. There just isn’t enough people that want a large, diurnal, sight hunter. Same goes with spilotes and the other large South American colubrids. Picture having to deal with a 6-10’ black racer.

There are a BUNCH of smaller colubrids that are much easier to deal with, but they’re either lizard or frog feeders.

Snail eaters are really cool, if you have access to slugs or snails.

Yes, Drys as a genus are quite intolerant of inbreeding. But it is a fair bit easier to get new blood for most of the species than it is for couperi, which was why I suggested the others.

I just thought of another species while browsing MM. Black milk snakes! They can get to 6’ long and are of course snake eaters. Maybe see if you can find a female from good sized parents.
