I bought a couple hundred food containers similar to those on Amazon for about $10 (I think, if anyone wants to know exactly I can check my expenses). I used them for everything (until I ran out, I need to order more, lol). I used them for weighing geckos and moving them, I use them mainly as hides, and various other uses (like picking mealworms out of substrate to feed). They are easy to cut, when I cut them I need to trim the edges a little bit but they aren’t sharp at all, and that’s just with cutting with scissors. I can easily scrape the top until it goes through and I can make a top-opening hide. It’s very smooth plastic, lightweight, and easy to clean. It’s nearly the same as reptile basics hides except you can get a hundred for the price of a few. From a video I watched I think (I am not sure at all so don’t read it as a fact) this is what Snake Discovery uses for smaller hides.

Yup, I remember seeing them in several Snake Discovery videos, being put to various uses.
