Pairing suggestions

We have a Banana HRA Het clown male ball python. Looking for some ideas for the best morph/combo of morphs to pair with him for some super gorgeous babies?

The best advice I can give is to look for something YOU like.
I started with BEL morphs because I loved the look of combos with Mojave or the allelic Mojave special or Mojave mystic.

You can go to the sales page and do a search for HRA banana clowns. I would set availability to any so you can see what sold and such too. Then you’ll be able to see combos and decide from there what genes to pick up. Or just search for one gene like the HRA and see what combos you like there.

The only specific answer I will say is that because your snake is het clown, another het clown or ideally a visual clown would be best so you can take that advantage. The visual clown gives you all het or clown offspring. A het to het will give you a breakdown of:
1:4 visual clown
2:4 het clown
1:4 no het
Any non visuals would be considered 66% het since you can’t tell them apart without shed testing or breeding.

Aside from that…
Do remember that the BP market is oversaturated right now. It can be hard to place offspring, especially if you end up with normal/classic/wild type hatchlings. So keep in mind the extra space and food you’ll need.

Also, make sure you have an exotic vet in your area prior to breeding in case of emergencies. The last thing you need is to be searching for a vet when a breeding injury like a prolapse or eggbinding happens. Or in case of potential issues with hatchlings (more rare).
