Sorry @t_h_wyman , regarding wobble and other snakes, i was simply trying to say that the act if thermal locating pray can be mistake for the wobble condition. One shouldnt assume what they are seeing is actually wobble.
Wow! I did not know a yawning snake could be a bad sign! But it makes sense!
I think if its always yawning also stargazing is also something snakes can get thats a signal to possible condition.
150 for that snake is a good price
Most people charge around 100 for just leopards
Re: wobble and heat pits…
I do think that sometimes there is an overreaction with spider especially and anything that can be considered a wobble. Most of the time the rest of the complex gets forgotten.
It’s frustrating how many times I’ve seen people say a spider is wobbling when it’s really just trying to key in on prey normally. Or in the case of any other morph with a little head bob while seeking, I’ve seen people ask if it had spider in the parents. Especially in young hatchlings who don’t know what to do yet.
Welp about to try and feed her fingers crossed
You should probably give her a full week to settle in without bothering her at least before feeding.
Ya I held off. Ill try and feed her on Sunday in line with my others.
Welp…feeding day was last night. Sausage went into immidiate food response when i waved the hopper mouse in front of her. Struck once, accuarte with zero head wobble. Mouse was down the hatch in under 5 minutes heh. Thats what i like to see!
Anyways as she grows ill keep an eye on the wobble but for now she is just acting normal.
Even with wobble, will love on her and take care of her if it happens. Not her fault.
Great news! And like I and others stated, the wobble isn’t usually an issue I just wanted you to be aware of it and not worry if you observed it have any amount at all. Enjoy your python it’s a very pretty one for sure!
Really appreciate it!

This, right here.
It is good to be informed about the condition but, contrary to the inflammatory click-bait videos, 99.9% of the time it is not an issue at all.
I know I am late but I am happy to hear that she is setting in nicely. How is she doing now?
She is crushing it, no food issues, feeding every 7-8 days with mice about the same width as her thickest part. She goes into instant food mode when she sees the rat and has hit it on the first strike every time (usually about 10 - 20 seconds of the mouse being dangled at her. I see very very slight wobble here and there that could be normal movement. She is a happy, sweet little thing
Thats great to hear! Looking forward to seeing that little one grow
Ya I am pumped. A couple more are in our future too. Gonna be getting a Mystic Potion, and a VPI Axanthic Mojave next season (along with a Princess Diamond Super Fire, and a IMG Motley Anery 2 boas). Then my display collection will be “complete” haha 6 snakes in total (this girl and my current Lipstick Jungle Sunglow.
Dude! Seriously good pick
!
I just have to tell my wife they only cost 500 bucks…hahahahah
Yeah, it is better to be honest about the price lol. Trust me, I had to explain to my parents that I was going to spend 2500 dollars on boa, I get an idea of the feeling. Not to mention I almost went for a $3900 girl this season, but she sold before I could definitely decide on it.
