And a baby! I actually found an even tinier baby, but didn’t grab a picture of it.

Ooh one more. Must be hatching season. These little guys are too cute.

But you gotta watch where you stick your fingers!

And then while I opened the door for 5 seconds, this big mother wolf spider came charging in. I don’t mind having a few spiders in the house, but I don’t really want all ten thousand of her babies! :grimacing: So she got cupped and sent back outside.

Wow, you’ve been seeing a lot of things. I think the wolf spider picture is really something!!!

I used to own a wolf spider as a pet when I was younger…I love it! She would come out and I could hold her. I actually had her for a while now that I think about it.

Here is a pretty cool-looking dude from the Big Island of Hawaii!
Anyone know what it is?

Looks like a gold dust gecko.

Yup- they’re an introduced species there in the islands as I understand but they are all over now, and if you leave fruit out on the counter you might come back to a sneaky green thief stealing a lickylicklick. Ask me how I know! LOL

AND I’D ALLOW IT :joy:

My son brought in some of his outdoor plants for the fall / winter. This little guy was in one of the plants. He was trying to find him for a few days as he would make noises every so often. He is going to relocate him and the plant to his green house for the winter.

Awwww. I love how the little froggie’s coloring takes on a bit of camo look to blend in with “his” plant. Too cute! And a lucky little frog to get to spend winter in a greenhouse, too.

I was just headed home from the gas station across from my apartment building, when a rock on the concrete hopped! This cute little gray tree frog must have been looking for a new tree! (A mature male I think, unless all adults have those bright orange inner thighs)

I looked for where to relocate him, and my options were one tree near the gas station, or those tangles of plants on the edge of the road. Not for my boy! So he is kidnapped with warmth and water for the night and then tomorrow I’ll take him to the nature preserve and find a much better spot

The mason jar is now covered with a cloth to make him more comfortable

I want to keep him but I’ll be strong!

I noticed that Franklin (I PROMISE I’M NOT KEEPING HIM) was loafing in his little water dish and had already soaked up his water, so i gave him some more warm ish water and he let me spoon it right over his head! Frog soup!

Ok so that’s the cutest little “pet rock” I have ever seen…… He must have been dehydrated I bet! I know it would be much better for him to be released but……. :weary::weary::weary:

@cmills

I think you should keep him. It is fall now and you don’t want him to freeze outside.:rofl:

@caron @tommccarthy don’t you tempt me! :joy: :joy: I’ve already gotten so darn attached!

But Google says gray tree frogs freeze into a torpor over winter, which sounds so scary but I have to believe he’ll be okay :sob: I’ll find him the best spot at the bog near my apt

Here’s the little man this morning, before I gave him some more water! Once it hits the high temp for today, I’ll take him to his new home!
