Found this soggy fella in the Walmart parking lot as I walked home, which resulted in quite the ‘YOU ARE BEING RESCUED, DO NOT RESIST’ situation. He was relocated to the nearby creek.

Also I was not, as the picture implies, absolutely gripping the soul out of this frog, it is just how the angle and action shot ended up looking :joy:

I’ve now caught and relocated all 3 categories of FROGGISH creature in Indiana, wet (frog), sticky (tree frog), and dry (toad). Now to find every species in each category!

I love that bottom picture. You may say,

but he’s got a definitive “I don’t believe you!” look in his eyes! :joy:

My son nearly stepped on this chunky snake at soccer practice. I moved it to a safe place away from the other people and in thanks I got a major musking!

This picture was taken moments before disaster - the disaster being a mantis flying directly at my face with those little raptorial arms reaching out to grab my nose

Pshew, close call! Congratulations on your survival!  :joy:

Hehehe I will say a mantis to the nose is a rather…unique jumpscare :joy: :joy: :joy:

Here’s are some, er, latter-day reptiles. The great egret posed quite prettily. I was surprised to see fuzzy ducklings, but clearly the Muscovies felt differently. I like Canada geese even though they’re kinda pesty in some places. The image with the ducks peering at their reflections seemed fun. Wonder what those two gulls staring at each other are plotting…

Those photos are incredible! I am a sucker for baby ducks!. The 2 staring at each other are trying to decide who is going to “foot” the “bill” when they take their wives out later! :joy:

Who isn’t a sucker for baby ducks? They’re totally adorable!!

I dunno who’s going to “foot” the “bill,” but they surely having some loud discussion about it.

Those gulls are definitely plotting world domination. Or at the very least acquisition of the world’s supply of French fries.

Or cheeseburgers or waffle fries or Cheetos……

Forgot what type of Owl this is. But my son helped my Veterinarian buddy rehab this guy.
Took this picture just before my son released him in his yard at night.
