Scale rot in ball pythons

Thanks! And i do understand just because things worked out this time, doesnt mean it wouldnt be smarter the next time if i see anything wrong to just turn it away before digging into a can of worms haha.

I am very happy all ended well, shes extemely friendly and beautiful, would have been a shame if treatment hadnt worked.

Yaaaaaay, that’s wonderful news! So glad she ate for you and seems to be making a speedy recovery. Poor thing has had a rough go of it.

Once again have my fingers crossed that it just continues to be positive gains from here on out. She was very lucky to land in your care. Considering how much cr*p you’ve gone through with your animals recently, I’m so glad she’s winning this battle. You said she hasn’t relapsed, does this mean she’s transitioned back into the bioactive again?

No, i have her on reptizorb for another week. I wanted to give her time to digest and you can never be too safe. I may even keep her in hospital quarters for another month now that i know she will eat in there. Snakes can go on hunger strike when things change, so honestly it is sounding like a good idea to not change anything until she puts on some more weight with a few more feedings.

Sounds like a very solid plan. Also gives her time to build up her immune system again, the lack of such might’ve contributed to her initial issues being introduced to a more naturalistic environment. I’d say another month is a good idea.
