What are your thoughts?
Jungle pattern usually refers to a pattern caused by an incubation error. This guy looks pretty normal to me not seeing orange dream.
Oh no. You think she’s a normal?
She maybe het pied. But pied is technically a recessive trait so your not going to see visual indication of being het.
Yeah I know I was just hoping she had more to her than that like he had said.
Admittedly I’m not the greatest with orange dream identification because I’ve never hatched any. But I’m just not seeing anything personally that would lead me to believe that snake is anything other than het pied.
I just talked to him, he said Jungle is just an in house term he uses for patterns he can’t identify, and that he would just describe it as aberrant.
Means deviation from the standard appearance. Normal or wild type is the “standard” type of ball python. Wild types themselves are extremely variable. That doesn’t really fit here I think you have a het pied.
This is a single gene adult orange dream. I don’t necessarily think that’s a normal but not a single gene OD either.
Thank you so much! That helps alot and I agree. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of clutch she ends up having.
I can see this being an OD, just a lower expression one.
Definitely not a “jungle”. As Shaun notes, the “jungle” phenotype is a non-heritable one that most often occurs from an incubation issue
Yeah the more I look at her I’m seeing some Enchi maybe

Not an Enchi. Eyes are wrong
Not all OD are created equally. Looks OD to me, just with it’s adult colors.
I personally see a lower expression OD. Enchi tends to have a lot more belly white that comes up the sides, it looks similar to the calico expression spiders have. I’ve noticed many enchi adults carry that trait which has helped me pick it out in adult snakes!
Overall the reason I say OD is because of the lack of eyes in the alien heads, as well as the “drippy” pattern from how they’re stretched. A lot of BP morphs brown out as they age which can made IDs hard, especially if you don’t know the pairing/haven’t seen the snake or gene through its lifecycle.
No matter what her morph is she’s a stunning lady!
Very late reply but thank you!! Her breeder has mentioned the possibility of calico as well, so funny you say that!
I have her paired with a Black Pastel Banana Het Pied. Looking forward to see the results!
Definitely not a Calico
