Show me some fire 🔥 (And what are the markers?)

Show off them Fire morphs.
Single genes, combos, supers… the lot.

Also I’m struggling in working the differences between a Normal and a Fire out.

I know that to prove out a Fire you breed it for Black Eyed Leucistics.
I know they get brighter with each shed until adults.

But what patterns/colours/blushing/markings are we looking for on first sight?

Do you guys happen to have baby pictures of those butter/lesser fire combos by any chance?
I just hatched out a clutch from a firefly het ghost to a butter ghost and I can’t figure if they are ghost or just butter fire :weary: Thanks in advance

In this picture:

I’d say 1 is not a ghost, he is just a butter fire.
2 and 3 I’d be pretty certain, especially 2. They look like they are about to shed, even though they did only two days ago.

Also, and @saleengrinch can correct me if I’m wrong, I believe hypos/ghosts have clear sheds?

 thank you! I threw #1 in there to show a definite non-hypo.
I just found it almost too perfect that the only ghosts are also butter and fire. I guess I got lucky as they are also 1.1

You are 100% correct on the clear sheds, but I do have a pos het that also shed clear :woman_shrugging:t2:

I’d say one is just a lesser but I could be wrong. I would agree the other two are hypo lesser fire! The clear shed is usually a good indicator. The two ghost are super nice!

Thank you! I appreciate both of you taking the time to help figure them out. It helps to have other eyes with fresh perspectives.

Fire hatchling.

Normal hatchling.

Comparing a fire hatchling to a normal hatchling. The fire is a bit subtle as a hatchling. Fire brightens with age so the difference will become more pronounced over time. But even as a hatchling you can see that the fire has brighter color and a very distinct head stamp.
