dont know how to post videos here? but once i figure that out il link a video i took of their enclosures lol, they are both a bit smaller than my Super Snow’s cage i built, but they work extremely well and give them the space to climb and move around all they like.
Also i know Jester is quite a bit chunky, that was about when i first bought her, right now she is more slim thick lol, diet is working, want her to be a healthy weight before breeding her but looks like she will be there soon, can also reply with a more current pic if anyone wants.

They’re both super cute, keep us updated with the results, it looks like a good pairing. We don’t recommend loose substrate due to the risk of impaction but I won’t go into the details of it unless you want me to. Also, Jester is only a hypo since there are spots on the body. When you bought her she could have been a super hypo and then developed spots later.

sorry yes you are right! she is a hypo not super, was speed typing 5 minutes before heading to work lol, and for the babies i dont plan to put on loose since they could get a big glob of it in their mouths and suffocate, but adults i am pretty comfortable with, they got their options to get off of the substrate if they so desire as well as being fed on their rocks and tile (or sometimes i will whip out the escape proof bowls on a lazy night) they do lick about since they are leos, but with the substrate being sifted and a combo of playsand topsoil with touch of cocofiber its a non issue, i do have the sphagnum moss as a light top layer, most of it starts in humid hides then slowly get spread around lol, but yeah, with their husbandry impaction wont be an issue since they dont eat on it and they have no reason to search for vitamins in their soil, and the little bit they do lick up will pass since none of it is binding like construction sand

A lot of people have had good luck with loose substrate but there is always the risk of them eating too much and it causing a blockage/impaction. Someone on these forums had a leopard gecko die from loose substrate. I recommend at least packing down the substrate (like it is in the wild) to decrease the risk. I think what you have would decrease the risk of them eating it.
