Solar Serpents 2024 Babies!

I just did :smirk::smirk::smirk:

A word of caution…it opened fist-sized black hole

A little photo dump of babies with full bellies. So far most have eaten 3 times, one has eaten 4 times, and a couple have eaten twice. One baby ate his first meal, but has now refused his second and third. And one hasn’t eaten at all yet. The little kinked one took his second meal tonight. He seems to have no issue eating or digesting, which is great!

My next two clutches are due to hatch any day now, but I suspect it will be about 5 or 6 days before they do. Looking forward to it!

Such lovely babies! I’m glad most are eating well. What/who is that very light Shatter?

I have one like this. Got a couple of others who are less than thrilled about food. Hopefully yours and mine and all the rest will get with the program soon.

I believe that one is Mandolin, one of the female (so far!) shatters.

And yes, I find it particularly frustrating when a baby eats without tricks once or twice and then starts refusing! My little guy that’s like that did end up eating overnight, a brained pinkie, after two refusals. So I’m really hoping he’s back on track.

Wow, that first one…:exploding_head:

I know! That’s my favorite shatter.

The little one in the 4 pic is as cute as a button! Is that the little kinked baby?

No, that one is his sister, Ukulele. Here’s Oboe, the kinked one. He’s pretty sweet too.

Ok I took a toss up guess. I figured it was one of the 2. Oboe is the cutest of course! How is he doing?

Do you think she’s homozygous Hypo, as well? She is so very light. :heart_eyes:They’re all beautiful, every one.

Really well! He seems to be totally fine. The kinks don’t show up very well in the photos, I’ve noticed.

I don’t think so? Mom’s hets were unknown, but dad’s weren’t. And she’s definitely too dark for lava. I think it could either be just natural variation or possibly a sex-linked thing. My only other example of a female shatter is the one I got from Dean, but that one is probably caramel as well, so not the best for comparisons!

Just realized I had my photos mixed up. The light shatter in that photo is Didgeridoo, who is also popping female so far. Mandolin is this one, also quite light, maybe even lighter?
