Temperature help required

Hi, i need some advice, please. I thought i had my ball pythons vivariums set up correctly and a comment from someone has made me question this.
Vivariums are 4ft x 2ft heated with a che on a stat.
I had been setting my tank temperature based on the actual basking surface temperature. This is 32•c - 33°c according to my fluke gun.
My hot end temp on the side wall is 27°c and my cool end varies between 23°c to 25°c.
Humidity is 60/70%
Am i measuring all wrong or this ok, this is slowly driving me mad lol  Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the community.

IS CHE overhead heating?
And whats the side wall hot end temp mean?

My only thoughts are, the hot end should be around 30 to 32 where the snake is on the floor.
Are you saying its only 27 there, if so that’s a bit low if its on the hot end floor where it will be most of the time.
(That can be an issue with over head heating, also in the hot end hide will be shaded and even cooler.)
23 also seems a bit cool for the cool end.

If my suspicions are right, you could address it with an additional heat mat.
I might have misunderstood though.

Humidity is too high. Should be 50 to 60%
