Just taken in this guy, been missing in someones house for 6 months, just found whilst moving house. Not sure if it is a Greybanded or a Durango mountain king, any help appreciated regards Tony
Looks like a grey banded, one of out favorites.
Thanks he’s a very placid animal
Yeah the couple that we have are super great snakes.
what do you feed your’s on regards Tony
Definitely a grey banded kingsnake, and a nice example of one too. Due to them being a non boa or python, I would recommend only feeding the size of the largest part of their girth. They will not need rats and do great on mice; size according. They are pretty active snakes so probably feed every 7-10 days for an adult.
Thank you remarkable condition for being on the loose
You will want to quarantine that animal away from your current collection. You should get it tested for parasites, since it’s been out so long and it looks healthy (good weight). You never want to accidentally introduce parasites into your collection, especially if you could’ve avoided it in the first place.
I feed a large mouse to my adult male every Sunday.
thank you i will try that regards Tony
Been in quarentine for 4 weeks already ,always quarentine my new animals.I keep mostly ball pythons this is the only one i currently have that is not a ball python regards Tony
