Use of square for payments

Was wondering who here uses square for payments, Instead of paypal.
Would love feedback on how it works for you and how to set it up.

We use square and had two major issues right away. Small sales (under 1k) were fine but anything over was immediately placed on hold…meaning we could continue to take payments but could not access funds, even those funds that were previously authorized and “available”. They basically questioned my business even though they have a tax ID number on file under the business name. It took some emails, filling out forms, and an assertive phone call but they finally released the freeze after about two weeks. Since then I haven’t had an issue.

We use to use square, until early this year when we started selling merch (stickers, t-shirts) on our website. Apparently Square doesn’t like repeating amounts and they deactivated our account with less than 24 hours notice. We spent weeks trying to reason with them, sent them screenshots of the merchandise, links to the website, but it was like reasoning with a brick wall. We are a registered business, with a tax number and remit annually, so it’s not like we’re trying to fly under the radar. We’ll probably be using Moneris once the lockdown is over and expo’s are running again.
