I’m curious what everyone does with their snake’s sheds. I’ve been saving them with dates and IDs and it’s really fun to look back on how much the snakes have grown overtime.
I have six snakes and five of them are going to produce large sheds. I sometimes save them if the shed cleanly but if not they are thrown away or mixed into potting soil. And the plan of have +20 adult boas mean I will have lots and lots of sheds to deal with.
This is the only shed i have from Dratini but i’m hoping to keep another in a few years to compare how she’s grown
I keep a lot of my sheds, but I’ll usually use some for feeding isopods.

I boil mine with carrots, onions and celery to make snake skin soup. It’s delicious on a rainy day!
