Goodness! Jubel looks like a cross between a pterodactyl and an alligaror!
. He’s a fat little boy whatever he looks like!
Greatest pet lizards ever!
Nothing gives side-eye quite like chameleon eyes. Jubel is adorable!
(And yes, I know he’s not an actual chameleon, but he’s still got chameleon eyes.)
Thank you David! He’s a ham bone!
Thank you! He’s definitely different looking and demand attention!
Ahhhh, man, I want one of these so badly! Or a Leachianus. I am seriously NOT adding a new species until we get moved though. We thought that was happening last year but it fell apart. Just learned that the Army son and his family will be at Ft. Campbell come July, soooo that means both sons and families in western KY or just across the border there into TN. I haven’t had two kids close enough to drive to both since they were in college. Need to get up there! (Then maybe I’ll get a lizard.)
Fievel is not nearly as friendly as Jubel is. I had to keep a gentle grip on him while taking his picture! . Jubel will sit with no hands on him for quite a while!
Since you are kinda moving my way maybe we just might meet up some day!!!
I surely do hope so!
Me tooooooooooo!
Been very, very excited to be able to post here once again. These two absolute beauties arrived from @caryl this morning. Fiorella is a (pos homo) Red Factor Strawberry Amel Het Anery, Diffused, ph Charcoal, and is incredibly vibrant. Meanwhile, Handsome is a glowing Caramel Masque Het Amel, Diffused, Stripe, 66% Het Anery, 50% Het Hypo. You’ll have to forgive the photo quality, I didn’t want to disturb them too much while they were settling in.
I have big plans for these two when they’re older, but for now I look forward to watching their colors change as they grow!
Oh my goodness Jess! You my dear hit the jackpot! Congratulations on two new beauties from Caryl! You will certainly have a lot of fun with them!
I’m so happy that these two went to @noodlehaus! I know Jess will take great care of them, and I love that we can see updates as they grow. I couldn’t be happier! Especially since I, too, got new additions today.
Direct from Noodlehaus Colubrids, here is Timerain! She’s from the clutch who were named for fireworks. Timerain / time rain is possibly my favorite fireworks effect so even that fits. Timerain is Halo Snow het Hypo, Motley OR Stripe, ph Charcoal, Diffused, Lavender, Palmetto. I’ll leave her alone while she settles in, but I can tell she’s as sweet as she is pretty! She was really chill, so I got several pics.
The second arrival is my second Cinder. He’s a Shatter het Amel, Caramel, 50% ph Hypo from Chris Nicholas Reptiles. Radish from @solarserpents was the first Cinder here and I usually go with general name themes for projects. I’m considering Kohlrabi for this boy. (Olivia, was there a Kohlrabi in Radish’s clutch? I can’t remember. ) He wasn’t quite as willing to hold still for pictures as Timerain but I’m too excited to post him to wait. Here’s … somebody…
Well you congratulated Caryl! I know you have been patiently (impatiently) waiting for these jewels and ta da! They are finally here!
Timerain is stunning. She has such delicate coloring! I love the yellow! And Kohlrabi (love the name btw) is so handsome! I bet you gave a big sigh of relief when they got to you safely!
I am totally tickled that they’re finally here! Given that Timerain was coming from Minnesota, I wasn’t sure how long I might have to wait until the weather broke. Not that I’d ever want to ship in unsuitable conditions. Their safety is THE crucial factor, always. But I am glad we caught a shipping window before April!
I found the thread with Radish’s hatching announcement. There’s no Kohlrabi. So it’s settled, I have Kohlrabi now!
Love it! Themed names are fun! He’s really cool!
Thanks! I’m curious to see how his colors develop. I can see a few burgundy/brown tones in his saddles which weren’t there in his initial pics from the breeder. Chris said that one parent’s side of Kohlrabi’s Cinder relatives tended to be very grey, Miami colors. The other parent’s Cinder lines are more colorful. I like both looks. I do prefer very colorful Peppermints, but subtle greys and blacks are wonderful as are the beautiful burgundies and greys like Radish has.
I really can’t wait to see how they change as they grow. Fiorella is one of the reddest things I’ve ever seen in person, and Handsome has the possibility of Halo, so it’ll be interesting to see if he becomes even more radiant than he already is!
Mr. Handsome will also be the start of a new direction for my abandoned Scaleless project. When he reaches adulthood he will be paired with my girl Sienna (and also her daughters) to hopefully make some Butters and more.
